Invasion Cocktail is pleased to announce the 2nd edition of the Bartender Challenge competition presented by the Italian Trade Commission.

PRIZE: 1 trip to Italy for one person to be won.

Theme 2023: The Flavors of Italy 🇮🇹🍝🍸 It’s up to you to draw inspiration from an Italian ingredient or traditional dish to create THE cocktail that will best showcase the iconic flavors of Italy.

COMPETITION STEPS

Simply submit your application to info@invasioncocktail.com, fill out our form, and send us a portrait of yourself by September 6, 2023, at 5:00 PM.
Once the form is completed and the portrait is sent, a selection of 8 to 16 participants will be announced on September 7, 2023, at 2:00 PM. At that point, you will be assigned an Italian liqueur or spirit, which will be waiting for you at the Invasion Cocktail offices located at 1208 Beaubien Street East.
From September 7 to September 14, 2023, you will have the opportunity to create a recipe that highlights the chosen Italian ingredient or specialty. Take a photo and share it on your social media accounts on September 14, between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, making sure to tag @invasioncocktail, @itatradeagencytoronto, @itatradeagency, your spirit, and explaining your recipe.
On September 15 at 2:00 PM, a pre-selection of 8 finalists will be announced. Following this, the selection of the final 5 contestants will be determined by the jury’s deliberation. The announcement of the 5 finalists will be made on September 18 at 2:00 PM on our social media platforms.
The 5 finalists will then present their recipes to the jury as part of the Pro Day, taking place on September 25, 2023, between 3:30 PM and 5:30 PM at Fabrik8.

CRITERIA In this friendly competition, you will be judged based on the following points: The theme ‘The Flavors of Italy 🇮🇹🍝🍸’: You must develop your concept around an iconic Italian ingredient or traditional dish that represents Italian cuisine. Your concept should be evident in the photo you produce, and the assigned brand’s bottle must be present in the photo. Your Creativity: You will be evaluated for the originality of your recipe, the ingredients used, the quality of your photo content, and your presentation. Taste and Cocktail Balance: You will also be judged on the flavor balance of your cocktail. The assigned spirit must be showcased effectively. We are excited to learn about, see, and above all, taste YOUR favorite Italian flavor. Please note that you must confirm your presence on Monday, September 25, 2023, between 3:30 PM and 5:30 PM to be selected as a finalist.
